The information provided on this website is intended for information purposes only.  Dynamic Relaxation, Ki, Aiki and Martial Arts practices can be physically and mentally demanding and you should take care of yourself and your surroundings when practicing any of the techniques described or shown on this website.  If you wish to practice Aikido then you should do so under the supervision of an experienced teacher.

What data do we collect?

Isshinkai collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)

  • General analytics on traffic and visitor behaviour on the website

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide Isshinkai with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register online or place an order for any of our products or services.

  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.

  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

Isshinkai uses, and may also receive your data indirectly from, the following sources:

How will we use your data?

Isshinkai collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your orders, subscriptions and manage your Membership.

  • Where applicable, manage your progress and eligibility for Grading and Certification.

  • Email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like.

  • Provide users like you with requested services, information, help and support.

  • Clarify our offer and improve what we provide for a wider audience.

Isshinkai will share your data with our partner companies so that we may continue to support your Membership using their products and services.

Isshinkai will not sell or share your data with other companies to enable them to offer you their products and services.

How do we store your data?

Isshinkai securely stores your data at Isshinkan and with our secure online partner providers.  Paper based data such as Membership Applications are stored only until the data is processed appropriately, after which it is destroyed.

Isshinkai will keep your data for up to one year after you have last used our services. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by removal from partner services or overwriting where possible.

Marketing

Isshinkai would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like.  We will do this by email, when appropriate using the following:

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.

You have the right at any time to stop Isshinkai from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your data to other members of the Isshinkai Group.

If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please unsubscribe using the link provided on our emails.

What are your data protection rights?

Isshinkai would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request Isshinkai for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Isshinkai correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Isshinkai to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Isshinkai erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Isshinkai restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Isshinkai’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Isshinkai transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
